As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold, there are number of vulnerable populations who are facing health and economic crises. This makes the work of our community organizations more important than ever, and we want to show them our support.
Since the beginning of the shelter-in-place orders, Christ Fellowship has been supporting different local organizations each week. For the week of May 17-23, we are honored to be partnering with The Samaritan Inn.
About The Samaritan Inn
The Samaritan Inn is more than just a place to spend the night. It is a comprehensive program that teaches self-sufficiency and life skills to meet the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We help willing people gain dignity and independence. On a given night, approximately 160 people sleep at the Inn, of which 1 out of 3 are children.
They serve three well-balanced meals daily, provide personal hygiene products, free laundry, haircuts, over the counter medicines, and vouchers for needed items and services. Day care and transportation vouchers are also available. Residents attend a variety of classes and meet one-on-one with their professional caseworker to develop an individualized action plan and goals for their success.
